Format UK phone numbers and postcodes in a spreadsheet
Phone numbers typed by hand come in every shape, and postcodes arrive in lower case without their space. Klerio's free cleaner puts them all in one format, leaves anything it can't read alone, and shows you every change.
How it works
- Open the free cleaner and drop in your file.
- Tick 'Standardise phone numbers' and 'Format UK postcodes'.
- Check the changes. Numbers or postcodes it can't read are listed, not changed.
- Download as CSV or Excel.
Why Klerio
- International format: Phone numbers become +447700900123, which every CRM and email tool accepts.
- Postcodes with the right space: sw1a1aa and SW1A1AA become SW1A 1AA.
- Nothing invented: Values that aren't a valid phone number or UK postcode are left as they were and listed.
- Only the right columns: Phone and postcode columns are recognised from their headings and contents.
Common questions
Do I need Excel formulas?
No. Drop the file in, tick the boxes and download.
Is it free?
Yes, the free cleaner needs no account.
What about non-UK numbers?
Numbers already in international format are kept; ones that can't be read are listed for you.
